The Rec Center

The rec center here is open weekday mornings for young children and babies to play. There is a toddler room, bounce houses, and cars to ride on. And all for free! We've been going as a family since Justin doesn't work in the mornings. It is a short walk away too, so I can take the boys if Justin isn't available (except if it's raining or snowing, which unfortunately are the days when we need to get out of the house the most). We went for the first time last Wednesday and the boys had the time of their lives. Gabriel loved the bouncy balls the most, and Caden the cars of course.

What play places do you like to take your kids to in your town?

awww, that looks like a lot of fun! Were there any other kids?

-- we just do gymboree. Oscar still hasn't come, but I enjoy it with her. We've also done the playground, but I feel like she's already bored of the one near us, so I need to diversify a bit.

Yes, there were other kids, just not at the beginning. Most come later than we do.

That bounce house thing is really cool and the car slide too. That's a neat find - so cool that it's free, too. We are paying $60 a month the first few months at Gymboree, then it goes to EIGHTY! I don't know how long we'll keep it up. We go 3-4x per week, consistently, but I've heard of many people who sign up and barely use it (kind of like an adult gym). I can't see us doing that.

Wow, that seems more expensive than the gym! We like free. Does your library have a reading time? If they don't have one for toddlers/babies, you should suggest it.
